This tutorial shows you how to read story feedback. It also gives you
a few tips and hints for efficiently navigating within the story
feedback.
Login to the Fish Tank and go to your Member Home Page.
Bring up a story by clicking on its title.
You should see a story with all the comments that have been made
so far. There are three panes: the story pane, the comment pane, and
the navigation pane.
The comment pane is the bottom pane. There are two kinds of comments:
official comments and follow-ups. Official comments have the tan
background color, and follow-ups have a white background. Comments
you haven’t read yet have a red background.
Scroll through the comments and read them all.
Look at the navigation pane on the right. By clicking on the names
in the navigation pane, you can quickly move around within the comment pane.
Click on a few names in the navigation pane. Notice the comment pane
scrolls to show that person’s comment.
If you’d like more space to read the comments, just drag the line between
the story and comment panes up.
You may want to hide the story completely while you read the comments;
click the ‘Comments Only’ link at the top of the navigation pane in the
‘Show’ section. You can also choose ‘Story Only’ or ‘View Both’, depending
on what you want to look at.
If you have unread comments, you can click the ‘Unread Comments’ in the
navigation pane to scroll the comment pane to the first unread comment.
